Final Release
Descent » Devlog
That's it, chums. We're done.
The final build is up and has drastically fewer bugs and should be more performant. We've also added a few things:
- There are now two variants of small lizards, a dull one that is basically the same as the plague doctor dudes and a shiny one who is a little tougher than the plague doctor dudes.
- There is now an optional indicator that points in the direction you want to go. You can toggle it with 'T' or by pressing the Right Joystick Button.
- You can now sprint by holding the Left Joystick Button in addition to Shift and Gamepad bottom (A/X)
- All the menus have full gamepad support.
- The final stage is no longer horrifically dark.
- New main menu! It is no longer buttons in the blackness.
- All the sounds work.
- Updated player textures.
- The lizard collapses to the ground when it dies instead of folding in on itself and sinking into the ground.
- You are invincible longer when you roll.
- Roll animation has been improved; you go further when you roll and will always move in the direction you are facing.
There are a few issues here and there, but for the most part it WORKS AS INTENDED.
